If you are getting error while connecting VMware vSphere Update Manager, and you have already verified permission issue on VUM database and still not working, try below KB article to reconfigure VMware vCenter Update Manager using the Update Manager Utility. This may resolve your issue without reinstalling vCenter Update Manager and UMDS
